Community is a choice.
As a current Bedford Town Councilor, I direct strategy and funding for our core municipal services: Fire and Police Departments, Roads and Infrastructure, Transfer Station, Library, and General Safety. I have also served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Bedford Energy Commission, the Water & Sewer Advisory Committee, the Conservation Commission and the Historic District Commission.
I have been an attorney for 14 years, primarily practicing management-side labor and employment law. I earned my law degree from New York University School of Law, and my undergraduate degree from Amherst College.
My husband Charlie is a prosecutor in Concord, and we have two daughters in Bedford schools. I am a Girl Scout troop leader, and learned Bedford's neighborhoods by running through them (albeit slowly!) with new friends over the last few years.
I grew up in Madison, Connecticut, where my dad was in law enforcement and my mom was a customer service rep. My hometown reminds me very much of Bedford in many ways. I am grateful we are able to raise our girls in the same kind of engaged, active and supportive community.
I have met some amazing people in this town—parents, teachers, professionals, folks who raised their children here and stayed, others who embraced Bedford after raising their families. Each of you deserves to be heard, and I am ready to listen to your hopes and fears about the next few years, whether it’s over email, phone or coffee. I look forward to many more years of paying your commitment forward!
